Sources: Man United update on sacking Erik ten Hag revealed
Man United are not yet considering sacking manager Erik ten Hag despite a poor start to the 2023-24 campaign, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the Dutchman has plenty of credit in the bank after a successful first season at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag led Man United to a third-place finish, won the League Cup – and also reached the FA Cup final, where they were beaten by Man City.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that there is “no panic” within top-ranking club chiefs despite a stuttering start this term.
Nevertheless, pressure is ramping up on Ten Hag after four losses in the first seven Premier League games of the season.
Man United slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday (30 September) – leaving them 10th in the table with nine points.

The Red Devils also lost their opening Champions League group game against Bayern Munich, with the German giants recording a 4-3 victory.
It is believed results will have to pick up to secure Ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford, with his contract set to expire in June 2025.
The Dutchman has won 46 of his 71 matches in charge of the Red Devils after taking charge last summer (2022).
Man United’s League Cup victory earlier this year ended a barren run of six years without a trophy.
The Old Trafford club reportedly spent more than £179million on incomings in the summer window.
Ten Hag added Mason Mount, Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana, Sofyan Amrabat and Altay Bayindir to the squad.
Man United are next in action against Galatasaray on Tuesday (3 October) before facing Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday (7 October).
