Sources: West Ham could now sign two free agents

West Ham could turn attention to signing a free-agent striker after multiple potential summer window deals collapsed, sources have told Football Insider.

The Irons saw their hopes of landing a top-class forward dashed on deadline day despite extensive talks throughout the window.

West Ham could now turn attention to landing a forward from the cast of players available on the free-agent market.

A deal for former loanee and current free agent Jesse Lingard is also possible after he spent time training with the club in recent weeks.

Talks with Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain respectively over possible deals for Youssef En-Nesyri and Hugo Ekitike failed to secure agreements.

Michail Antonio has led the line in each of West Ham’s four Premier League games this season.

The Jamaica international, who has ex-Aston Villa forward Danny Ings as an understudy, has managed two goals in the new campaign.
