Harry Maguire: Man United storms out of Old Trafford after Brighton defeat - sources
Man United star Harry Maguire stomped out of Old Trafford within minutes of the final whistle following the team’s defeat to Brighton, sources have told Football Insider.
The defender, 30, was an unused substitute for Saturday’s 3-1 home humbling at the hands of Roberto De Zerbi’s exciting side.
Maguire did not hang around long afterwards and was spotted leaving the tunnel and exiting the stadium within 15 minutes of the match completion.
While there is no suggestion that the former club captain missed a dressing room inquest conducted by the management team in the aftermath of the game, his unusually early exit will raise eyebrows among club observers as well as supporters among his commitment to the team.
It comes at a time when Maguire has been frozen out by United while continuing to play a key role for the England national team.
He was also stripped of the club captaincy in the summer by Erik ten Hag, with the armband handed permanently to Bruno Fernandes.

Maguire has had just 23 minutes of playing time for United this season, which came in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break.
Ten Hag has claimed the media focusing on Maguire is ‘crazy’ but told the centre-back to silence his critics by performing well.
He then went on to feature for England in both matches against Ukraine and Scotland, but was mocked by opposition supporters and his mother hit out at critics in an emotional social media post afterwards.
A club statement later revealed that United had taken the decision to suspend Ronaldo from the first-team squad ahead of their next fixture against Chelsea.
