Revealed: Man City exodus lands £115m jackpot - £14m more on the way
Man City have earned £115million from selling academy stars in the past three years, Football Insider can reveal.
The Citizens completed their latest sale this week after agreeing a £19million deal with Burnley for goalkeeper James Trafford.
City youth star Carlos Borges is also inching closer to a £14million move to West Ham after the Londoners set their sights on the 19-year-old winger.
Pep Guardiola’s side have spent heavily in recent seasons, bringing in the likes of Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips to bolster their talented squad.
However, the Manchester giants have also balanced their books through a number of impressive sales.
The Athletic report that City have made £568million in player sales since 2013/14, ranking them third in the Premier League during that period.

A large number of those sales have been youth stars who have impressed at City’s state-of-the-art academy.
Shea Charles was the first City youth prospect to leave this summer after completing a £15million move to Southampton earlier this month.
The Saints have also spent big on Romeo Lavia, Gavin Bazunu, Sam Edozie and Juan Larios, with all four players arriving from Manchester for around £40million last summer.
Angelino and Darko Gyabi are further examples of academy stars departing the Etihad Stadium in recent years, with the latter not making a single senior appearance before completing a £5million move to Leeds United.
Overall, Football Insider calculates that City have raised around £115million from academy stars in the past three years alone.
City could inflate that figure further this summer, with multiple sides showing interest in Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle.
