Sources: Chelsea turn attention to completing £15m deal as soon as possible

Chelsea are urgently working towards finding a new sleeve sponsor for the 2023/24 season, Football Insider understands.

The Blues entered the summer without a front-of-shirt or sleeve partnership and initially launched their home kit in July without any sponsorships.

The Londoners have since reached an agreement with US-based company Infinite Athlete to become the club’s new front-of-shirt sponsor.

Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (9 August) that Chelsea have agreed terms on a £50million sponsorship deal with Infinite Athlete.

That deal is ready to be announced pending confirmation from the Premier League’s fair market value assessment.

Following the completion of the Infinite Athlete deal, Chelsea’s commercial and marketing team have turned their attention towards a new sleeve sponsor.

With the Blues set to face a drop in revenue due to the lack of European football this season, the club has prioritised getting a deal over the line as quickly as possible.

Football Insider understands that Chelsea have set an asking price of £15million per season for a new sleeve sponsor.

They previously signed a £20million per season deal with crypto-company WhaleFin last year, however, that deal was terminated just seven months after it was announced due to company retrenchment.

All of Chelsea’s ‘Big Six’ rivals have sleeve sponsorship deals in place for the 2023/24 campaign.

Chelsea are aware that the value of any sponsorship deal will diminish once the season is underway and therefore are working hard behind the scenes to find a suitable partner as soon as possible.
