'Disgusting' - Exclusive: Agbonlahor rages after Tottenham player reveal
Gabriel Agbonlahor is “disgusted” how Tottenham have frozen Danny Rose out of the squad and then failed to pay up his contract.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley, the former Aston Villa forward urged the England international, 30, to sit tight and run down his contract if he can’t get the “right” move.
Football Insider revealed last month that the full-back wants the full value of his contract paid off if he is to leave ahead of his current agreement expiring next summer.
Rose has not been named in Spurs’ Premier League and Europa League squads, and has not even been given a squad number this season.
“With Danny Rose I think the way they’ve treated him has been quite poor,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“I was in a situation with Roberto Di Matteo, where Villa did the same to me. They didn’t want me and they put me in a reserve team dressing room, made me sit in my own dressing room and train with the kids.

“They’re doing the same to Danny Rose, which is disgusting after you’ve given a club
10 years of your year career and you’ve had an outstanding career at Spurs.
“Just because you and a manager don’t see eye-to-eye it’s crazy how clubs can forget and treat you so badly.
“So, if I was Danny Rose, I’d sit there until the right move comes to me. If the club want to pay his wages off then that’s their choice and then he can go sign somewhere else. For me, he’s done nothing wrong.
“He should keep himself fit with whoever he’s allowed to train with. Hopefully he can get the right move in January or in the summer.”
In other news, Joe Lewis has given the green light for “mammoth” Tottenham deal as contract set to be signed before January window opens.
