Joe Lewis told to reject £95m Harry Kane bid as expert shares 'incredible' Tottenham verdict

Tottenham have been told to reject a £95million bid for Harry Kane amid the persistent pursuit from Bayern Munich.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Daniel Levy must keep Kane at the club due to a lack of options in the striker position

With only one year remaining on his Tottenham contract, Kane has been linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer.

German giants Bayern Munich have held concrete talks with the North London side, but their £86million bid for the England captain has been rejected and Sky report a new £95m offer is being prepared.

With a potential sale on the cards, Agbonlahor believes that Tottenham should ensure that Kane is not for sale.

“If I was Daniel Levy and Mr Lewis, I wouldn’t accept anything for Kane, however incredible the bid is,” he told Football insider.

“That’s only because I would look at it as they have Richarlison as the only backup. Ivan Toney can’t play till January, despite him being a good signing.

“So you still got like a good chunk of the season without a top striker, and that means no top four.

“They were poor last season and didn’t finish in European places,  and they missed out with a striker that’s scoring 30 Premier League goals, so do the maths.

“So I would say no to selling Kane, but then as a businessman, maybe they will look at it and say he’s not going to sign a new contract, so let’s get as much money as possible for him.”
