West Ham told to complete striker signing as as Agbonlahor swipes at Jarrod Bowen
West Ham need to sign a striker with a similar profile to Michail Antonio before the closing of the transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that the Hammers are correct In their decision to sell Gianluca Scamacca.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Monday (8 August) that Scamacca was in Rome undergoing a medical after agreeing a £27.6million move to Atalanta, and a move has now been completed.
The transfer is due to be completed on Monday (7 July) as the Irons raise more cash for a late-window signing spree.
West Ham are expected to sign up to five new players after agreeing the club-record sale of Declan Rice earlier in the summer.
With Scamacca having departed from the club, Agbonlahor believes that he was never suited to the Premier League.

“He plays the game like he has 10 seconds to control the ball and turn” he told Football Insider.
“He is not suited for the Premier League.
“His type of striker is not suited to the league anymore, maybe back in the day when you had the Dean Ashton’s, as the game was a bit slower in the past.
“What I know about Jarred Bowen is that he doesn’t want to cross the ball, as Bowen wants to make runs in behind and score goals.
“This is why Michail Antonio suitd West Ham, a player like Scammacca can’t succeed, it was a similar story to Wout Weghorst at Manchester United.
“Teams want quick nippy strikers who can run in behind, and also press, which he can’t do.”
