Aston Villa told to pull plug on Traore deal by Agbonlahor
Aston Villa must avoid a transfer reunion with Adama Traore despite links to the winger.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Unai Emery should avoid a deal due to the inconsistency of the player.
Football Insider exclusively revealed last month (29 July) that Aston Villa are plotting a surprise move for Adama Traore following his Wolves exit.
Villa have a shortlist of forward targets and they are believed to include the Spain international, who spent a year at the club from August 2015 before completing an £18million move to Middlesbrough.
He has spent the last five years at Wolves apart from a loan spell at Barcelona in the second half of the 2021-22 campaign.
With a potential transfer on the cards, Agbonlahor believes that Adama would not be the correct signing for Aston Villa.

“He has all the attributes but his decision making has not improved in eight years,” he told Football Insider.
“At the stage of his career it now means his decision making will never improve.
“He would be 3 on 1 and still make the wrong pass, the pace he has to only have such litte assists and goals is criminal.
“When I played with him it was like when it was time to pass he would cross the ball, or when it was time to cross the ball he would pass, so it was always the wrong decision.
“So there is no reason that Aston Villa should be looking to sign him on a free transfer.
