Aston Villa expert can't believe Boubacar Kamara could now sign for Liverpool
Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Aston Villa will not sell Boubacar Kamara for Liverpool unless they come in with a “ridiculous” bid.
The former Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the days of his old side being a “selling club” are over following their recent success.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato (16 August), Liverpool are interested in a potential deal for Aston Villa star Kamara in the final days of the summer window.
The defensive midfielder only arrived at Villa Park on a free transfer last summer (2022) after leaving Marseille at the end of his contract.
Kamara made 26 appearances across all competitions last term and has played 90 minutes in both of Villa’s Premier League games so far this season.
The France international is under contract with the Midlands giants until June 2027.

Despite completing a deal for Wataru Endo last week, Liverpool remain keen to add further reinforcements in midfield after losing the likes of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I rate Kamara highly.
“He wasn’t at his best in the first game against Newcastle, but you let players off in the first few games.
“No top Aston Villa player is up for transfer. If they don’t have to sell, they won’t.
“The days of being a selling club are over.
“I feel that unless Liverpool come out and pay something astonishing, they won’t be getting any deal over the line.”
