Agbonlahor verdict on Mohamed Salah completing '£215m' Liverpool move - 'no way'
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Liverpool should keep Mohamed Salah at all costs as they are “unrecognisable” without him in the side.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 31-year-old is worth “more than money” to the club and its fans.
According to The Sun (4 September), Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad have submitted a £215million offer for Salah ahead of their transfer deadline on Thursday (7 September).
The report claims the winger has been offered £2.45million-a-week to quit the Merseysiders, with “added incentives” also in the contract.
Salah is under contract at Liverpool until June 2025 after signing a bumper new deal last year (2022).
The Egypt international, who has already scored twice this season, has notched 188 goals in six years at Anfield.

Salah has won the Premier League, Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup during his time at Liverpool.
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I wouldn’t let him leave, no.
“Sometimes a player can be indispensable to a club, and that’s what Mohamed Salah is.
“£215million, it’s a world-record fee, but what would they spend the money on in January?
“Mbappe won’t come, Bellingham has gone to Real Madrid – what’s the plan?
“Without Mo Salah, Liverpool are unrecognisable. Sometimes players are worth more than money.
“I wouldn’t even acknowledge the bid.
“It’s easier said than done, though, because the owners might be thinking it’s a lot of money for a 31-year-old.”
