Jadon Sancho: Man United ready to accept January offer for outcast - sources

Man United are open to letting exiled winger Jadon Sancho leave the club in January, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed a loan exit is most likely for the 23-year-old, who continues to train away from the first-team squad.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (9 October) that Sancho remains in limbo at Man United as his exile from the first-team squad continues – as he is yet to make an apology to manager Erik ten Hag.

The duo were involved in a public spat after Ten Hag criticised the winger’s training levels in the aftermath of Man United’s loss against Arsenal in September.

Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are among the biggest clubs to be heavily and widely linked with a move for Sancho in the January window.

However, a well-placed source has told Football Insider that Saudi Pro League sides could revive their interest in the England international in the mid-season window.

Saudi clubs held a strong interest in the summer, prior to the bust-up which has seen Sancho exiled from the Man United first-team squad.

Allowing the ex-Dortmund star to leave temporarily will mean a big decision on his possible reintegration next summer.

Sancho had made three substitute appearances in the 2023-24 campaign prior to his clash with Ten Hag.

The 23-year-old cost a reported £73million when he joined Man United from Borussia Dortmund in July 2021.

However, he has contributed just 12 goals and six assists for the club since his arrival.

According to FBRef, he earns a weekly wage of £250,000 – meaning he is among the highest earners at Old Trafford.
