Sources: Man United accelerate Wan-Bissaka talks
Man United are in talks with right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka over a new contract, sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old is currently out of contract at the end of the 2023-24 campaign – although the Red Devils hold the option to extend his deal a further 12 months.
But it is believed that player and club are in talks over a completely new, long-term deal which would see Wan-Bissaka commit his future to Man United.
This development comes as a surprise with Erik ten Hag initially declining to select the right-back upon his arrival at the club.
But the ex-Crystal Palace star has grown into a key player for Man United and was a regular starter in the second half of the 2022-23 campaign.
Wan-Bissaka’s involvement in the new season has been limited through injury, with the 25-year-old turning out just five times before pulling up in the loss against Brighton last month.

He has missed six games with a hamstring injury.
Diogo Dalot, who himself signed a new long-term deal earlier this year, has taken Wan-Bissaka’s place in the side.
The Englishman joined Man United from Crystal Palace for a reported £50million in 2019 – and has gone on to make 165 appearances for the club, scoring twice.
Ten Hag’s side have picked up just 12 points from their opening eight league games of the season.
They have also lost both of their Champions League fixtures against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray – but recovered from a goal down to beat Brentford 2-1 on Saturday (7 October).
