Agbonlahor can't believe Jadon Sancho could quit Man United and sign for Premier League rivals
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Jadon Sancho will not entertain leaving Man United for another Premier League club as it “hasn’t worked” for him in England.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, backed the 23-year-old to get his career back on track at ex-club Dortmund or a top club like “Marseille or Inter Milan”.
According to the Daily Star (11 September), Sancho will seek a Man United exit following a high-profile public bust-up with manager Erik ten Hag.
As quoted by Sky Sports (4 September), Ten Hag claimed the England international was left out of the squad which lost 3-1 at Arsenal on 3 September due to below-par training performances.
The winger hit back on social media in a post which has since been deleted, claiming he has been a “scapegoat” for a long time at the club and insisted he has conducted himself “very well” in training.
Sancho has played just 76 minutes this season after notching seven goals and three assists in 41 appearances in the 2022-23 campaign.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund star cost the Old Trafford club a reported £73million in 2021.
When asked if Sancho could quit Man United for a Premier League rival, Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I don’t think so, no.
“I don’t think he would want to stay in the Premier League. It just hasn’t worked for him in England.
“He will look at it and realise he played his best football at Dortmund, and head back there.
“Or he’ll try a different league in Europe and enjoy football in another foreign country.
“I can’t see him moving in the Premier League, but I can see him at a Lyon or a Marseille or Inter Milan.
“It’s still a top club in a top league, and he could get his career right back on track at a club like that.”
