Agbonlahor on Erik ten Hag being sacked after Man United source's reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Man United boss Erik ten Hag has the “safest job in the Premier League” apart from Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 53-year-old can’t be judged too harshly after struggling with several off-the-pitch issues.
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (20 September) that Man United stars are growing increasingly disenchanted by Ten Hag’s methods.
Well-placed sources have revealed that there is a feeling the Dutchman is “losing the dressing room” with tempers fraying behind the scenes.
Man United have picked up just six points from their opening five games this season and slumped to a 3-1 home loss against Brighton on Saturday (16 September).
The Red Devils won their first trophy in six years earlier this year, lifting the League Cup – as well as finishing third in the Premier League in the 2022-23 campaign.

When asked if Ten Hag‘s job is in danger, Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Not at all.
“He’s probably got the safest job in the league, apart from Pep and Arteta.
“Man United won’t sack him, even if they finish outside the top four this season.
“What he’s done with the Ronaldo situation, and starting the get the respect back in the club, he’s done well.
“The Sancho situation is different, I don’t think he had to out him.
“But what other manager can Man United bring in to get them closer?
“We need to give Hojlund a chance to get adjusted.
“Then off the pitch, they’ve had the Greenwood situation, the Antony situation – and now the Sancho situation.
“It’s hard to judge Ten Hag too much, because of the problems off the field.”
