Agbonlahor can't believe Chelsea could now sack Mauricio Pochettino - 'it's a shambles'
Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Chelsea will keep faith with Mauricio Pochettino despite the club’s “shambolic” start to the new season.
The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the ex-Spurs boss needs to find his best eleven before he is judged by the club’s owners.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (25 September) that Pochettino is not yet under any real sack pressure at Stamford Bridge despite the Blues’ poor start to the season.
Chelsea have picked up just five points from a possible 18, with their solitary league win coming against lowly Luton.
Pochettino received an influx of new signings following his appointment, with the Blues spending a reported £400million in the summer window.
But the Argentine has not been able to call on several key players, including Romeo Lavia, Benoit Badiashile, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku – who have been ruled out through injury.

Chelsea are next in action against Fulham next week (2 October).
Agbonlahor told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think they’ll keep him, they won’t be looking to sack Pochettino.
“But he’ll have gone in and really struggled with the injuries. He’ll want to play Caicedo, Enzo, Gallagher with Nkunku and Sterling up front.
“He’s not had his strongest team. He can then pick his strongest side and be judged on that.
“But at the moment, seriously, it’s a shambles.
“They’re already 13 points behind Man City. It’s just not good enough when you’ve spent a billion pounds in the last year.”
