Pundit makes Harry Maguire transfer claim after Man United source's 'insane' reveal
Harry Maguire is ‘desperate’ for a fresh start and should leave Man United this summer to join a club overseas.
That is the view of former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Maguire’s bleak future at Old Trafford.
The 30-year-old centre-back remains captain of the Red Devils, but he has significantly fallen down the pecking order under new boss Erik ten Hag this season.
Maguire has made just 11 Premier League appearances this season, with the duo of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez favoured by the Dutchman.
Football Insider sources revealed earlier this month (11 March) that Maguire has been put up for sale but United fear they won’t be able to sell him because of his ‘insane’ wages.
The England international currently earns in excess of £200,000 per week in Manchester.

McManus believes Maguire’s £80million price tag has hung over his head in England and left his confidence ‘rock bottom’.
“It is the right time for Harry Maguire to leave Old Trafford,” McManus told Football Insider.
“At 30 years old I think he’s got one last chance with one big move left in him.
“I think he’s been a decent servant to the club but he’s no longer a regular starter.
“He obviously gets a lot of stick from both United fans and England fans and his confidence is now at rock bottom
“The £80million price tag has eaten away at him and continues to hang over his head.
“He is desperate for a fresh start, and I think he could find that in Europe if he goes to Spain or France – something a little different.“
