Sources: Cooper set to miss Leeds clash against Burnley after setback
Liam Cooper has been ruled out of the Leeds United clash against Burnley on Saturday after a setback, Football Insider understands.
Speaking at his press conference on Thursday morning, Marcelo Bielsa stated the 29-year-old had recovered from the injury which kept him out against Tottenham.
However, a Leeds source has told Football Insider Cooper is in fact not yet fully fit and is expected to miss the trip to Turf Moor.
The Leeds captain was sidelined for the 3-1 win over Spurs due to a gluteus injury.
Pascal Struijk and Diego Llorente started against the Lilywhites for the fourth successive game, and are expected to link up again at Burnley.
Cooper has not featured for Leeds since being sent off in the 2-1 win over Manchester City back in early March.

He was therefore suspended for the games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Brighton.
The Leeds captain has suffered several injury and illness problems this term.
As such, he has been limited to just 23 Premier League appearances.
He missed the opening day of the campaign after suffering a calf injury on international duty.
A groin problem ruled him out for two games in October while an abdominal strain kept him sidelined over winter.
He made 10 consecutive starts before illness – reported to be Covid – forced him to miss games against Fulham and Chelsea.
His numerous absences have seen Struijk get a significant run of games this term.
The 21-year-old has made 26 appearances across all competitions, the most of any Leeds centre-back.
