Pundit lambasts Rashford and 'shocking' Man United teammate who gave Wolves player 'easiest game of his life'
Jadon Sancho gave Nelson Semedo the “easiest game of his life” as Wolves beat Man United 1-0 last night (3 January), according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Man United were “shocking” and the players had to take responsibility for the defeat.
Sancho was dragged off with 15 minutes to go and replaced by Rashford had little impact on the game.
Joao Mouthinho won the game for the visitors with a long-range striker in the 82nd minute.
“Man United are not playing a 4-2-2-2, it’s a 4-4-2 – it’s like going back 15 years,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“The only team that I know that plays a 4-4-2 is Burnley and they press and all work hard in that formation.

“Man United haven’t played 4-4-2 for years. Maybe the times of Rooney and Berbatov with Nani and Ronaldo on the wings it worked.
“This squad, it’s not working now. They got overran in midfield.
“The attitude of the players. Sancho, for me, was brought in for a big fee and didn’t take anybody on. Semedo had the easiest game of his life. Sancho didn’t take him on, just passed it backward. He had no confidence.
“Rashford came on, it looks like he’s sulking with his body language. Whenever the camera was on him he didn’t look happy.
“Greenwood was the only one who shouldn’t have been taken off and he got taken off.
“He reminds me of a headmaster at a school who’s been brought in to be a manager. He’s a millions miles off it.
“It just sums up Man United as a club over the past few years. They can’t get anything right.
“Ole wasn’t the man. They’ve gone to Rangnick for whatever reason and he’s not good enough.
“It comes to a time where it doesn’t matter if there’s no manager, players have got to take responsibility. Players can take it into their own hands and put in a performance.
“That team, and Sancho, they were shocking. The tactics were all over the place.”
