West Ham told to complete 'unbelievable' Traore deal as Wolves asking price crashes by £32m - pundit
Alan Hutton has urged West Ham to take a £20million “risk” on signing Adama Traore from Wolves this month.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested David Moyes could “unlock” the 25-year-old’s “unbelievable” potential.
As reported by the Telegraph on Sunday (2 December), West Ham are considering a move for Traore this month.
A Wolves source has told Football Insider the winger may be available for just £18million in the January window after being valued at £50m in August.
The winger is contracted at Molineux until 2023 but has there have been stumbling blocks in negotiations over a new deal.
Hutton insisted a move for Traore could be worth a gamble at the reported asking price.

Asked if Moyes could be the manager to unlock Traore’s potential, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “He’s got West Ham playing to such a high level so of course he could.
“I think managers, when you look at the likes of Adama and what he actually brings to the table, on any given day he could give you a bit of magic that could win you a game.
“I totally get why people need someone like him in their squad, I totally get it.
“We’re talking about a guy who’s physically unbelievable. His pace is unbelievable. He’s got everything, technique, but you just have to look at his stats.
“At £20million, I think that’s worth it. If you can get Traore for £20million, I think that’s worth the risk. Bring him into the club and see if you can unlock his potential.
“I still think he’s raw. He needs a lot of work. He gets into great areas but then it’s his decision making.
“It’s not just about holding on to the ball, being strong and running past three people and then losing it. It’s about your end product at the end of the day. So that’s the difficult part.”
Traore has played 20 times this season without scoring or contributing an assist.
His last goal for Wolves came back in May against Brighton.
