Robinson issues 'devastating' verdict after Tottenham source's Traore update
Paul Robinson is worried by the prospect of Tottenham signing Adama Traore and transforming him into a right wing-back.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 25-year-old is “a devastating” attacking force but raised doubts over his defensive capabilities.
According to The Athletic (6 January), Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are keen on signing Traore with a view to playing his as a right wing-back.
Spurs are said to have come close to signing the Wolves speed machine last summer.
A Wolves source told Football Insider on Wednesday (5 January) that the winger could be available for as little as £18million despite being valued at £50m in August.
Traore has 18 months left on his contract at Molineux.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said:
“If Wolves are going to cash in on him it’s going to be soon because he is not going to sign another contract. He has been touted about heavily in recent windows.
“I cannot see him playing as a right wing-back in that system for Spurs. Defensively, I don’t think he gives Conte enough.
“Going forward he is devastating. He is a player I admire and that I like but as a winger, not a wing-back.
“He would be a great addition to any side but I don’t think he’s got the defensive capabilities to play on the right-hand side of a back five.
“I see him as part of a front three and Spurs have a lot of options in that area. I don’t think Spurs need him.”
