Insider: Tottenham swoop for Traore on the cards after source reveals new asking price
Tottenham fans should “keep an eye” on a potential swoop for Adama Traore from their club this month.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
A Wolves source has told Football Insider on Wednesday (5 January) the 25-year-old may be available for just £18million after being valued at £50m in August.
As reported by The Telegraph (2 January), Tottenham are considering a move for Traore in the winter window after seeing two bids rejected in the summer window.
Wenham has refused to rule out a Spurs swoop for the winger as reports “will not go away”
“Whenever we play Wolves he causes absolute chaos,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He goes on these runs and we have four or five players trying to claw him down.
“I remember one game at Molineux where three players were grabbing his shorts and he still kept going. He causes panic, the guy is a beast.
“He always gets to the byline and most of the time it will go out for a goal kick or it will go over everybody.
“I have no idea if Conte thinks he can change Traore into someone with better delivery.
“I think the price is pretty good, around £20million is much better than the £50million I saw reported in the summer.
“I presume our interest in the summer was led by Nuno but all the reports are that Paratici is also a fan.
“It’s one to keep an eye on because it will not go away.“
