Rice tipped to quit West Ham in 'absolutely huge' move - pundit
Danny Mills has tipped Declan Rice to quit West Ham for a double-your-money deal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender insisted the wages Rice could earn at a top club and the ability to play in the Champions League will “absolutely huge” factors in his thinking.
Football Insider reported on September 27 West Ham are planning to cash in on the midfielder for £90million.
It comes after he rejected multiple contract offers from the club and they do not want him to let his contract run down.
Rice’s current deal with the east London club is set to expire in the summer of 2024.
Asked for his assessment of the 22-year-old’s situation, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “These players have stayed loyal for so long.

“But, at some point, when you’re talking about doubling their wages, possibly even more, challenging for league titles, challenging for trophies, playing in the Champions League it’s huge, absolutely huge.
“Why wouldn’t you start looking at those sorts of things? You only have a certain life span as a footballer.
“You get to the point where you think ‘It’s now or never’ and if you don’t take that opportunity it may never come around again.”
Rice has not missed a minute of Premier League action this term and has captained the side with Mark Noble relegated to the bench.
The England international has played 154 times across all competitions for the Hammers since making his debut against Burnley at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
