Sources: Moyes desperate to stop West Ham star following Declan Rice out

West Ham are desperate to keep forward Jarrod Bowen at the club and are prepared to make him one of their highest earners, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed manager David Moyes is particularly determined to make sure Bowen, 26, remains at the London Stadium.

West Ham are keen to keep their best players – especially after losing captain Declan Rice to Arsenal for a club-record £105million in the summer window.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (2 October) that West Ham are keen to sort out the future of talisman Bowen amid long-term interest from Liverpool.

The winger, who is out of contract in June 2025, has long been widely linked with the Reds but a move is yet to materialise.

Talks are now underway with the England international about a new deal at the London Stadium.

According to FBRef, Bowen earns a weekly wage of £60,000-a-week with the Irons.

But West Ham are more than ready to offer him bumper new terms after his scintillating form during the opening stages of this season.

Lucas Paqueta is reportedly the Irons’ current top earner, bringing in a wage of £150,000-a-week.

Bowen has become the main man for David Moyes’ side since the summer departure of Rice to Arsenal.

He has notched five goals and one assist after playing every minute of all seven Premier League games.

The ex-Hull City man has been simultaneously left out in the League Cup and Europa League to protect his fitness.
