Tottenham insider: Celtic 'really like' Carter-Vickers, this is when they will sign him
Celtic will secure the permanent signing of Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers in January.
That’s the opinion Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Carter-Vickers, 23, joined the Hoops on deadline day in a loan deal that includes the option to make the move permanent.
The centre-half has made three appearances for his new side and scored a deflected long-range effort on his debut.
Carter-Vickers’ move to Celtic is the seventh loan deal he has been involved in while at Tottenham.
He has only made five senior appearances for Spurs, including in the Europa Conference League this season, but Wenham expects his days in North London are over.

“Celtic, in my opinion, will take up that option to buy him as soon as January,” Wenham told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“He is starting games and scored a goal, they really like him. For whatever reason at Tottenham, he has been there too long without making it.
“Sometimes you need to go elsewhere and establish yourself. Wherever he has been he has done really well.
“I know Luton wanted to keep him and Bournemouth would have kept him but the money wasn’t quite right.
“I think Celtic will end up keeping him.”
Celtic lost 1-0 to Livingston as their recent struggles under Ange Postecoglou continue.
Meanwhile, Tottenham went down 3-0 at the hands of Chelsea, their second heavy defeat in as many league games.
