Tottenham star Bergwijn set to be out for 'weeks' after new Snapchat emerges - pundit
Alan Hutton has admitted his heart bleeds for Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn after an injury update from Nuno Espirito Santo.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 23-year-old is likely to be out for “weeks” with his latest setback.
As relayed by Twitter account The Spurs Web, Bergwijn posted a photo to Snapchat of his foot in a protective boot after going off injured against Rennes.
As quoted by journalist Charlie Eccleshare, Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed the Dutch winger has sprained his foot and twisted his ankle.
He will miss the League Cup tie against Wolves and is a doubt for the north London derby versus Arsenal.
However, Hutton predicted it could be next month before Spurs can call upon Bergwijn again.

Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I feel for him. He was not used in the right way under Jose Mourinho.
“Mourinho wanted to be really defensive. Fans were getting on him (Bergwijn) a little bit but it wasn’t his fault. He was being asked to do a defensive job.
“He couldn’t affect the game in the final third the way he wanted to. We’re seeing that this season. I really liked what I’ve seen from him at the start of season.
“It was a shame for him in the Rennes game, it wasn’t a great tackle. I could tell right away that he had hurt himself. It looks like he could possibly be out for a number of weeks.
“It’s a real shame. because he’s starting to get to the levels where we all know that he can play and be a real threat.
“It’s a shame for him and the club in general.”
