Doherty's future on the line tonight as Tottenham insider makes Amazon doc claim
Tottenham insider John Wenham claims Matt Doherty will be given an opportunity to impress against Wolves on Wednesday night.
Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, predicts Nuno Espirito Santo will shuffle the pack for the clash at Molineux.
Doherty started last week’s Europa Conference League clash against Rennes but was slaughtered on social media for his efforts.
He was then dropped for Sunday’s loss to Chelsea.
The right-back has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham following the arrival of Emerson Royal from Barcelona.
Tottenham travel to Wolves in the EFL cup on Wednesday night and Wenham insists Doherty will be playing for his future if he is given the nod to start.

When asked if Doherty will be given minutes against Wolves, Wenham told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild, “Yes, I think he will.
“Emerson has obviously come in and he was thrown straight into the deep end at Palace.
“I believe it’s time for him to have a rest off the back of two games like that. I expect Doherty to come in.
“He has been hugely underwhelming. You have to go back to the All or Nothing documentary.
“In that, Mourinho singled out Doherty as one of Wolves’ key players.
“The fans were quite rightly excited when he joined for £15million. He was seen as the Kyle Walker replacement.
“We thought he would get forward and get goals and assists. It just hasn’t happened for him. His passing is poor and his positional sense is questionable.
“It’s a big opportunity for him tomorrow, we need to see something from him if I’m brutally honest.”
