Joe Aribo backed to exit Rangers amid 'surprising' Everton claim - Campbell
Kevin Campbell is adamant Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo would succeed in the Premier League amid interest from Southampton.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker is “surprised” that Everton have not made a move for the 25-year-old this summer.
Aribo has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Ibrox.
According to Sky Sports (7 July), Southampton are in advanced talks to sign Aribo for a fee of £10million including add-ons.
The left-footer is said to be open on a return to England with the Saints.
Aribo joined Rangers from Charlton Athletic in July 2019.

When asked by Football Insider how big a loss the Nigeria international would be to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, Campbell said: “Aribo has been immense for Rangers.
“His shelf life has an expiry date though. He has won trophies up there. The next step has to be to test yourself in the Premier League.
“Financially, Rangers cannot compete with the Premier League sides.
“I’m not surprised that there is a lot of clubs interested in him. I am a bit surprised that Everton aren’t looking at him though.
“He can play multiple positions, is strong, good engine and good on the ball.
“Southampton are a good club. I think he’d do very well if he goes there.”
Aribo was one of the Gers’ standout players in the 2021-22 campaign.
He contributed nine goals and 10 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.
