Robinson: Davis does a 'priceless' job for Rangers amid dressing room reveal
Steven Davis and Allan McGregor are “priceless” to Rangers because they play a ‘managerial’ role in the dressing room.
That is according to former England international Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Davis, 36, and McGregor, 39, and their integral contribution to the Gers’ title-winning campaign.
Davis has been one of the Light Blues’ standout performers this season was rewarded with a new one-year deal last month.

McGregor, like Davis, was coming to the end of his contract at Ibrox but the club announced on Thursday that the goalkeeper had joined his teammate in signing a new 12-month agreement.
Robinson, who is friends with and a former teammate of Gerrard, heaped praise on the experienced duo who the Gers “need to keep” for as long as possible.
“It is great news that both Steven Davis and Allan McGregor have signed new deals,” he told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.

“Those two are the two vital older heads for Steven Gerrard, both on and off the field.
“To have two good, honest pros like, you cannot really put a price on that for a young manager like Steven.
“They will have made his job a lot easier because he can rely on them to keep the dressing room focused and together. They are almost doing Steven’s managerial job in the dressing room.
“They need to keep those two around for as long as they are fit, willing and able to play.”
