Sources: Youssouf Fofana to reject £30m Nottingham Forest move
Monaco star Youssouf Fofana is set to reject a £30million move to Nottingham Forest, sources have told Football Insider.
The France international, 24, has been the subject of a huge bid from Forest as they look to get a deal over the line by the end of the window.
But it is believed that Fofana will knock back a move to the City Ground this month.
The bid is huge money by Forest’s standards, whose record signing is the £25million capture last year of Morgan Gibbs-White.
Steve Cooper’s side have already added four more permanent signings this summer but targetted Fofana in a bid to take their midfield to the next level.
The Monaco star has been widely linked with some of Europe’s top clubs – including Chelsea and Liverpool.

He is under contract in the Principality until June 2024 – meaning interested foreign clubs can sign him on a pre-contract in January.
But Forest are keen to add his talents to their squad now as they look to avoid a relegation scrap in the 2023-24 campaign.
Fofana, who has already amassed 10 caps for France, made 47 club appearances across all competitions last term – notching two goals and two assists.
The ex-Strasbourg ace has racked up 142 total games in Ligue 1 since making his debut in the competition in 2018.
Forest got off the mark for the new season with a 2-1 home win over Sheffield United on Friday (18 August).
They are next in action against Man United next week (26 August).
