Campbell slams Raphael Varane and Man United teammate after what he spotted - 'it was WWE'
Kevin Campbell has slammed the treatment Gabriel Jesus received from Man United stars Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay on Sunday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker “has never seen” Varane, 29, be so physical with an opposition striker.
Varane, Martinez and McTominay all fouled Jesus in Man United’s 3-1 win over Arsenal.
As shown on Twitter, via The Express (6 September), Jesus appeared to kick out at Martinez in frustration at Old Trafford.
McTominay and Jesus were booked during the clash on Sunday (4 September).
Campbell described McTominay’s challenge on Jesus as “something out of WWE.”

“The Man United players were getting physical,” he told Football Insider.
“You could see that from the first challenge Martinez put in on Gabriel Jesus.
“I have never seen Varane be that physical with a striker. He had Jesus in a headlock at one stage.
“Do not get me wrong. Jesus is physical with them as well. He is very good using his body. He is strong and quick.
“McTominay was in and around Jesus as well. He got booked for something out of WWE.
“The treatment of Jesus was serious. It was only a matter of time before Jesus lost his head.”
McTominay and Varane have impressed in Man United’s last four league games.
The Red Devils have won all four and have conceded only twice.
