Agbonlahor suggests Man United dressing room after unexpected Casemiro twist
Casemiro will be getting restless if he does not break into the Man United starting XI soon, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker admitted he was surprised Scott McTominay has kept his place ahead of Casemiro.
The 30-year-old, who moved to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in a deal that could reach £70million, is yet to make his full debut for his new club.
He has been limited to three substitute appearances and only played the final 10 minutes of the 3-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday (4 September).
Instead, unexpectedly, McTominay has been trusted to guard the Man United defence and has started five of their six Premier League games this season.
Asked whether he was surprised the Scotland international has kept his place ahead of Casemiro, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I am, to be honest.

“I feel like Casemiro, give it one more game and he’ll be thinking ‘Hang on a minute, what’s going on here? You signed me for £60million, get me in the team. I don’t care if McTominay’s doing well, you’re not signing me to sit on the bench’.
“It just shows that when a big player comes in sometimes other players step their game up.
“I feel McTominay has definitely stepped his game up.”
McTominay has often been ridiculed by Man United fans but has now amassed 176 appearances across all competitions for his boyhood club.
The Scotland international still has three years left to run on his Old Trafford contract.
In other news, Man United have agreed a £12million signing-on fee in a £43million deal including wages.
