Sources: Man City ready new Dani Olmo swoop after deal blocked
Man City will formalise their interest in electrifying RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo if he becomes available next summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The treble-winners have been linked yet again with the 25-year-old – alongside Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (13 October) that Leipzig are reluctant to let Olmo leave the club in January.
The Bundesliga outfit are unwilling to weaken their side further, having already lost the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Josko Gvardiol and Dominik Szoboszlai to Premier League clubs this year.
However, it is believed the summer window of 2024 could provide a more realistic opportunity for City to land their long-term target.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that La Liga giants Barcelona could also come forward next year – if their finances allow a bumper deal for Olmo.

The attacking midfield maestro is gearing up to play for Spain at the European Championships in Germany at the start of next summer – and it is believed a good tournament could boost his price tag even more.
Olmo is under contract at Leipzig until June 2027 after penning renewed terms back in June.
The 25-year-old notched five goals and one assist in his first four games of the 2023-24 campaign before suffering a knee injury.
He managed five goals and 11 assists across 31 appearances in all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign.
