Sources: Door opens for West Ham as Phillips January price revealed
The door could open for West Ham to sign Kalvin Phillips in January with the Man City star now ready to consider an exit, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (13 October) that Phillips, 27, is looking more and more likely to leave City in 2024.
It is believed the England international is ready to concede defeat in his battle to become a regular in Pep Guardiola’s side.
He could now get his career back on track with a move away from Man City in January – 18 months after joining the treble-winners from Leeds United.
West Ham and Newcastle are among the top Premier League sides to be linked with a potential move in recent days.
It is believed Phillips would consider those clubs as viable destinations with both sides playing European football this term.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Man City are keen to recoup their investment on the midfielder.
Phillips joined Guardiola’s side for a reported £45million and is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2028.
But the midfielder has been pushed further down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium following the summer arrivals of Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic.
Phillips’ latest snub came in the 1-0 away loss against Arsenal last week (8 October) – despite Rodri’s absence through suspension.
The ex-Leeds star has made just five appearances totalling 167 minutes of action in the 2023-24 campaign.
Despite his lack of action, Phillips remains a key part of the England senior side ahead of next year’s European Championships in Germany.
