Sources: Luton Town in advanced talks to sign Peterborough star Joe Taylor
Luton Town are in advanced talks to sign highly-rated Peterborough striker Joe Taylor, sources have told Football Insider.
Luton have been seeking striking reinforcements after losing Cameron Jerome earlier this month.
It is understood Town’s Harry Cornick could also leave Kenilworth Road amid interest from Bristol City.
Taylor, 20, joined Peterborough from Kings Lynn Town in 2021 and has been a prolific scorer for the club’s Under-23s.
His eye-catching appearances for the club’s youth sides have led to Taylor making 15 appearances in all competitions this season for the Posh senior side.
However, only two of those outings were starts and Taylor has only managed one goal in his outings.

Since 27 August, Taylor has only made four league appearances totalling a mere 20 minutes on the pitch.
That comes after the youngster featured in four of Posh’s first five League One games of the season.
The striker was trusted to start in both of his side’s League Cup games this season before Posh crashed out against Stevenage.
Taylor’s Peterborough contract doesn’t run out until the summer of 2024.
He also has one appearance for the Wales Under-21 side to his name.
Peterborough sit seventh in League One after winning 13 of their 26 league games this term.
Luton, meanwhile, are seventh in the Championship as the club looks to finish in the playoff places for a second successive season.
In other news, sources have told this site that Luton Town sensation Ed McJannet is set to join Leece as medical underway.
