Sources: Luton Town in race to sign Latibeaudiere from Swansea City
Luton Town have joined the race to sign Swansea City defender Joel Latibeaudiere on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
The newly-promoted side are one of many suitors for the versatile defender, 23, who impressed for Swansea last season.
Latibeaudiere, who was subject to an enquiry from Burnley in January, is set to available on a free transfer this summer after talks broke down over a new deal at Swansea.
The player has made up his mind to leave South Wales.
The 23-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the month when he is able to depart the club for free.
The centre-back made 37 appearances for Swansea across all competitions this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in those outings.

Of his 34 Championship appearances, Latibeaudiere was in the starting lineup for 30 of those matches.
The Jamaica international was part of Man City’s youth set up before joining the Welsh club back in 2020.
Latibeaudiere made 28 appearances for City’s under-21s and 27 appearances for the under-18s during his four years as part of the club’s academy.
Luton are looking for reinforcements as they attempt to make their mark on the Premier League next season after beating Coventry City in the play-off final to win a place in the English top flight.
They are joined by Championship winners Burnley and runners-up Sheffield United in the top tier for the upcoming campaign.
