Sources: Preston North End submit £3m loan-to-buy bid for Luton Town target Ryan Mmaee
Preston North End have had a loan bid for Ferencvaros forward Ryan Mmaee rejected, sources have told Football Insider.
The Lancashire outfit proposed an initial temporary move for the 25-year-old with the option to buy him permanently for a fee of £3million.
However, Ferencvaros have rejected that bid as the Hungarian club are only willing to consider a full sale this summer.
Luton are also interested in Mmaee and are considering entering the race with a bid.
Football Insider exclusively revealed earlier this month (10 June) that the Premier League newcomers are keen on the Ferencvaros star.
Football Insider also revealed that reports of advanced Luton talks with Alfredo Morelos are wide of the mark as they weigh up an offer for Mmaee.
The 25-year-old’s contract at Ferencvaros runs until 2025 after joining from Cypriot side AEL Limassol in 2021.
The Morocco international made 36 appearances for his current club in the 2022-23 campaign, bagging 13 goals and four assists in those outings.

The striker has also earned 12 caps at international level for Morocco, making his senior debut at just 18 years old.
He has notched four senior goals for his country, adding to his tally of 62 senior club goals amassed in spells across Europe.
Earlier this year (5 April), Football Insider revealed interest in Mmaee’s services from recently-relegated Leeds United.
Preston finished 12th in the Championship last term, while Luton took Leeds’ place in the Premier League after winning the playoffs.
