Expert shares 'unbelievable' Mohamed Salah verdict after new Liverpool update - 'my god...'
Mohamed Salah wants to see more “big signings” if he is to sign a new contract at Liverpool.
That’s according to former West Ham hitman Frank McAvennie, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the attacker’s future.
Speaking to Four Four Two on Friday (22 April), Salah revealed, “not everything (is) about the money” in the ongoing contract negotiations.
He admitted he “does not know” how confident to be about signing a new deal in a fresh twist to the ongoing saga.
Football Insider revealed earlier this month (9 April) that Liverpool were confident of a breakthrough in talks, with the winger set to compromise on his £500,000-a-week wage demands.
“If it’s not money, then, my god, what is it?” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Maybe he wants a sign that more big signings are coming in to help Liverpool challenge.
“But they signed Diaz in January and by all accounts, he is brilliant, Jota too.
“Liverpool have one of the best squads in the world. The defence is ridiculous.
“Maybe Salah just wants to know they aren’t going to fall behind Man City and really, Liverpool should be making these signings anyway.
“Man City will spend and to keep up with them, Liverpool will have to spend.
“You just hope something can be agreed with Salah because he is unbelievable.”
Liverpool signed Luis Diaz from Porto in January.
He has scored four goals in 17 games for the club so far.
In other news, the Reds are in talks over a £50million-plus-a-year commercial deal.
