Sources: Everton make move to sign Kelechi Iheanacho amid £10m reveal
Everton have registered their interest in signing Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, sources have told Football Insider.
The 26-year-old is out of contract in less than 12 months’ time and it is believed the Foxes could be forced to sell him following their relegation from the Premier League last term.
Everton have a limited budget to work with this summer but could opt to use the money raised by selling Ellis Simms and Neal Maupay on one marquee signing – rather than a number of arrivals.
Simms has already left Goodison Park for Coventry City in a deal which could net the Toffees a reported fee of £8million after add-ons.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed last month (20 June) that Maupay is attracting interest from France and Italy.
It is believed Leicester value Iheanacho between the £10-15million price range.

The Nigeria international managed eight goals and five assists in 35 appearances across all competitions last term as the Foxes suffered a shock relegation.
He started his career at Man City, notching 21 goals in 64 outings before earning a reported £25million move to the King Power Stadium in 2017.
Iheanacho has scored 42 goals in 198 Premier League outings so far and won the FA Cup with Leicester in 2021.
His best one-season return came in the 2020-21 campaign – when he managed 19 strikes in 39 appearances.
Everton narrowly avoided relegation last term, with a win over Bournemouth on the final day securing their survival.
Dwight McNeil was the club’s top scorer with just seven goals as talisman Dominic Calvert-Lewin endured another injury-plagued season.
