Sources: Stephy Mavididi undergoing Leicester City medical after deal agreed
Montpellier attacker Stephy Mavididi is having a medical at Leicester City on Saturday (29 July), sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old has agreed the terms of a £6.9million move to the Foxes and is set to be unveiled after completing medical tests.
He will become Leicester’s fifth summer signing under new boss Enzo Maresca.
Mavididi has impressed in Ligue 1 with Montpellier in the last couple of seasons.
The former England Under-20 international started his career at Arsenal before leaving them to join Juventus in 2018, where he played just once in the senior side before heading to Montpellier in 2020.
He has since thrived at the French outfit, notching 21 goals and five assists in 98 total appearances for the club.

Last season, the Derby-born winger managed four goals and two assists in 27 appearances with his campaign slightly curtailed by injury.
Mavididi primarily plays as a left winger but can also be utilised as a second striker.
His contract at Montpellier was set to run until June 2024.
But he is now set to become Leicester’s fifth signing of the summer window following their relegation from the Premier League.
Harry Winks, Conor Coady, Callum Doyle and Mads Hermansen have all already completed moves to the King Power Stadium.
Mavididi could be a direct replacement for Harvey Barnes, who joined Premier League giants Newcastle in a reported £39million move last week.
The Foxes’ Championship campaign gets underway next week (6 August) with a home clash against Coventry.
