Sources: Monaco want Leicester star Patson Daka as Balogun talks collapse
Leicester City striker Patson Daka is on the radar of Ligue 1 side Monaco, sources have told Football Insider.
Daka, 24, hasn’t featured for the Foxes so far this season and would be interested in a move away from the King Power Stadium before the 1 September deadline.
It is believed the Zambia international doesn’t see himself playing in the Championship following relegation from the English top-flight last season.
Monaco have also explored a move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, but have been priced out of a move for the United States international.
The Gunners have reportedly slapped a £50million price tag on the 21-year-old, who hit 22 goals in 39 appearances in a season-long loan at Stade de Reims last season.
Monaco have now turned their attention to Daka despite his disappointing form at Leicester.

The forward managed just four goals and four assists across 36 games in all competitions last season as the Foxes suffered relegation.
All told, Daka has racked up just 15 strikes in 74 appearances since joining the Midlands club.
He cost Leicester a reported £23million in June 2021 after impressing for Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg.
The Zambian’s contract with the Foxes runs until June 2026.
Despite Daka’s absence, Leicester have won all three of their Championship games this season and sit second in the table.
Meanwhile, Monaco will not play European football this term after finishing just sixth in the 2022-23 campaign.
