Sources: Leicester City ready to accept £23m Patson Daka offer
Leicester City are open to allowing striker Patson Daka to leave the club in the final days of the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (21 August) that Daka, 24, is on the radar of Ligue 1 side Monaco after they were priced out of a move for Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun.
But despite Leicester’s willingness to do a deal, it is believed they want to recoup most of the reported £23million fee they paid for the former RB Salzburg striker two years ago.
The Foxes’ position is also strengthened by the fact that Daka has three more years to run on his contract at the King Power Stadium.
He has not featured for Enzo Maresca’s side this term and has been absent from the matchday squad in recent games against Huddersfield and Cardiff.
It is believed the Zambia international doesn’t see himself playing in the Championship following relegation from the English top-flight last season.

The forward managed just four goals and four assists across 36 games in all competitions last season.
All told, Daka has racked up just 15 strikes in 74 appearances since joining the Midlands club.
He is not the only in-demand Leicester striker ahead of transfer deadline day on 1 September.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (22 August) that Premier League clubs are considering a move for Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho, with the ex-Man City forward also admired in Saudi Arabia.
Leicester sit second in the Championship having picked up seven points from their opening three games.
The Midlands side face Rotherham on Saturday (26 August).
