Sources: Bayern Munich ready move for Fulham star Palhinha as door opens for Liverpool to sign Gravenberch
Bayern Munich are planning a move for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha as they prepare to offload Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch, sources have told Football Insider.
Bayern are keen to bring in a new defensive midfielder before the window closes and Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the Portuguese star.
It is understood that the German giants will use the funds from Gravenberch’s proposed sale to make a move for Palhina.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (25 August) that Liverpool could make a new move for £30million-rated Gravenberch with their pursuit of Cheick Doucoure slowing.
Palhinha has previously been linked with a move to West Ham this summer as a replacement for Declan Rice, but the Hammers deemed the Fulham star too expensive.
The 28-year-old returned from a shoulder problem picked up in pre-season to come off the bench during Fulham’s 3-0 defeat to Brentford last Saturday.

He was a crucial figure for the Cottagers last season, playing 40 games across all competitions as Fulham secured a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League and a quarter-final exit in the FA Cup.
Palhinha proved to be one of the best defensive midfielders during his debut season in England, topping the Premier League for tackles made in 2022/23 with 147 – 47 more than Moises Caicedo in second place.
He completed a £20million move to Fulham in the summer of 2022, but the London side could be set to make a huge profit on their investment just a year later.
