Expert would 'love' to see Tammy Abraham back at Aston Villa after latest
Alan Hutton would “love” to see former teammate Tammy Abraham back in an Aston Villa shirt.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Villa right-back said Abraham was outstanding when they played together at Villa Park.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (29 November), AS Roma are open to the idea of cashing in on the 25-year-old.
Chelsea are said to have a buy-back clause in his contract, which expires in 2026, worth £68million.
A return to Stamford Bridge is believed to be unlikely for the striker, but Villa has been named one of the potential destinations.
When asked if Abraham could be convinced to return to Villa Park, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think he would be brilliant.

“I played with him and I thought he was outstanding during his time at Aston Villa. The fans absolutely loved him and he scored goals. He is a very talented boy.
“I do not think Aston Villa will be the only team monitoring his situation. Plus he is doing so well at Roma under Jose Mourinho, would he want to leave that at this moment in time? It would be a difficult one.
“Personally I would love to see him in a Villa shirt again. I think he could do a lot of damage for them moving forward but I do think it would be hard to get over the line.“
