Pundit suggests when Mason Mount could join Liverpool amid 'perfect' claim
Mason Mount could join Liverpool if his Chelsea form dips.
That is according to former Premier League defender Alan Hutton, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Mount’s future.
According to the Guardian (17 November), the Reds and Juventus are keeping track of the growing uncertainty around the 23-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder’s deal expires next summer and he has been in discussions with the Blues over a new deal since the summer with no sign of a breakthrough.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE podcast (4 December), ex-Reds midfielder Danny Murphy claimed Mount would be “perfect” for the Anfield club.
On 27 November, sources told this site that the Merseysiders have set their sights on signing two new midfielders next year, with Jude Bellingham a top target.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have also been linked with West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Hutton can’t see Mount quitting Stamford Bridge in the near future.
“It really depends on how his career develops at Chelsea,” he told Football Insider.
“I would say he is a main player for them at this moment in time. You do not really see players going to rivals in those top teams. Of course, it happens sometimes but not very often.
“He is young, he is talented, they probably won’t want to lose him unless his form dips. I think it would be a difficult one to do. But the likes of Rice and Bellingham are going to be ultra hard to sign for any team.“
