Celtic told to sign exit-bound Premier League forward with same top speed as Traore - pundit
Everton striker Josh King would be a “tremendous” signing for Celtic, according to Alex McLeish.
The former Scotland boss, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 29-year-old would flourish in the Premiership with his pace and finishing ability.
As revealed by Football Insider last month, Everton are not planning on pursuing a long-term deal for King when his contract runs out this summer.
The Norway international joined the Toffees on a short-term deal in January but has struggled for game time.
The Scottish Sun claim prospective Celtic boss wants to make his old star one of his first signings at Parkhead.
The former Bournemouth boss verbally agreed to take charge last week but Celtic chiefs are concerned he has had second thoughts.

However, McLeish has insisted King would be a fantastic addition regardless of who is manager.
Asked if Celtic should move for King, McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “If Josh has still got his speed, then yes. He is a higher level player than the Scottish Premier League.
“We’ve said that about some other players and they haven’t quite worked out in the Scottish Premiership for one reason or another.
“However, Josh is quick and he knows his way around the penalty boxes. If he still retains that speed, still has that speed, then yes, it would be a tremendous addition to Celtic’s frontline.”
King was recognised as one of the fastest forwards in the Premier League last season, clocking a top speed of 36.7km/h.
That is the same top speed as the likes of Wolves winger Adama Traore and Everton’s Richarlison.
