Sources: Ex-West Ham star Josh Cullen completes Burnley medical as £2.5m deal agreed
Burnley have agreed a deal to sign ex-West Ham star Josh Cullen from Anderlecht, sources have told Football Insider.
The midfielder has agreed the terms of a four-year deal with the Clarets after undergoing a medical on Monday.
Cullen, 26, will be reunited at Burnley with Vincent Kompany, who worked with him at Anderlecht last season and is a big admirer.
West Ham, Cullen’s first club, will receive 20% of the fee as part of the sell-on clause they inserted in the sale to the Belgian outfit in October 2020.
The fee for Cullen is around the £2.5million mark, meaning a six-figure sum for the Londoners.
The Republic of Ireland international has enjoyed a fruitful spell in Belgium but is now set to depart with one year left to run on his Anderlecht contract.

He made 80 appearances across two seasons at the club, scoring once, assisting once – and even donning the captain’s armband on numerous occasions.
Cullen, born in Southend, came through the ranks at West Ham but made just a handful of substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Irons.
He earned his stripes with loan spells at Bradford, Bolton, and Charlton before getting his move to Anderlecht.
Burnley are undergoing something of a rebuild following their relegation last season.
As revealed by Football Insider on Tuesday (12 July), Nathan Collins is set to join Wolves after the Premier League club had a bid of £21million accepted.
Those funds will help Kompany as he attempts to return the Clarets to the top flight having lost key men Wout Weghorst, Ben Mee, and James Tarkowski already this summer.
The Lancashire side have already completed five swoops this summer.
