Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain tipped to complete Liverpool move after new development - pundit
Frank McAvennie has claimed Brighton would be an “ideal fit” for Liverpool outcast Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker insisted Oxlade-Chamberlain needs to get back to playing football and the AMEX could be the perfect place to do so.
According to the Daily Mail (25 January), the Seagulls are interested in the 29-year-old after having sold Leandro Trossard to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
It is believed any deal could hinge on whether the Reds let the midfielder leave for nothing before the January transfer deadline.
The former England international will be available for free in the summer when his Anfield contract expires.
In November, Football Insider revealed that Oxlade-Chamberlain was set to be offered to Southampton with Jurgen Klopp’s side happy to let the player leave this month.

Since the post-World Cup restart, Oxlade-Chamberlain has started four Premier League games for Liverpool despite having only played a total of 30 minutes before the break.
But McAvennie suggested Brighton could be the perfect fit.
“I think he is a good player,” he told Football Insider.
“Brighton is a good part of the country. I could see that happening.
“Brighton play great football so I could see that. I had never thought about it but I think it would be a good fit for him.
“He just needs to get on the park more. Going to Brighton would be a good next step in his journey. I think he would fit ideally into Brighton. I think it would be a good move for him.“
